Millers v Reds Friendly Preview

Rotherham United travel the short distance this evening to the Impact Stadium to take on Blue Square North side, Alfreton Town.
The Reds have played three friendly games so far - winning two and drawing one, that being against Chesterfield when a defensive error gave Jack Lester an equaliser after Liam Heard had put the home side one up on thirty-eight minutes.
The Millers have yet to win a pre-season friendly, having lost to Championship sides, Leicester City and Sheffield United and also to local side Dinnington Town, when the Millers played a very much weakened side.

Vital Quotes:

Ronnie Moore - Alfreton will be giving it a go, that's for sure, and it will be different to what we have experienced so far

Alfreton Town Team News:

Alfreton will probably have former loanee, Ian Ross in their starting line-up this evening. Also playing will be Josh Law, brother of the Millers' Nicky

Player to watch: Josh Law

Will want to put one over on his brother!

Rotherham United Team News:

Ronnie Moore will probably not risk Tom Elliott who has a slight hamstring problem

Player to watch: Nicky Law jnr

Will want to impress his dad, Nicky snr, who is Alfreton's Manager.

Next Fixtures:

The Millers will be taking a team to Stocksbridge tomorrow evening - kick-off is 7.45pm
