Rotherham United vs. Macclesfield Town

Don Valley Stadium

2 November 2010

7.45pm

Millers v Silkmen Preview

Rotherham United and Macclesfield Town meet this evening at Don Valley with the Millers being seven places above the Silkmen going into this game.
Rotherham will be wanting to get back to winning ways at Don Valley having not won a league game there since 25th September, which was the same day that Macclesfield won their last away game.

Vital Quotes:

Ronnie Moore - Macclesfield have probably got the smallest budget in the league but they've got a lot of young kids in there who have enthusiasm, which is something we lacked on Saturday. That was unforgivable for the players not to have the attitude to run about, chase and get a sweat on. When you're wearing a Rotherham United shirt you wear it with pride and that wasn't evident on Saturday.
Gary Simpson - We've not been starting very well and we are conscious of that. For a football club like ours, and I'm not being negative, but we need to get fifty points and when we get to that we will start talking about things. We shouldn't be fooled with Rotherham losing their last two games because they packed full of experience and will be determined to get back to winning ways.

Rotherham United Team News:

Rotherham United could welcome back skipper Ryan Cresswell this evening who has missed the last couple of games with a back injury. Mark Randall won't be playing for a few weeks after breaking his collar bone on his debut at the weekend and one from Danny Harrison, Mark Bradley or Luke Ashworth could take his place. Marcus Marshall could get a rare start this evening after Ronnie Moore said he was going to change things

Player to watch: ADAM LE FONDRE

will always be on the look out for a goal

Macclesfield Town Team News:

The Silkmen will be without Emile Sinclair and Paul Morgan who have hamstring problems. Richard Butcher (knee) and Shaun Brisley (hip) are also out. Ricky Sappleton may be on the bench after suffering a knee injury last season although Gary Simpson doesn't really think he's fit enough to play yet.

Player to watch: HAMZA BENCHERI

a midfielder with an eye for goal and the Silkmen's top scorer so far this season

Ref Watch:

Nigel Miller

Next Fixtures:

It's FA Cup time on Saturday when York City make their first appearance at Don Valley. Kick off is 3pm
