Rotherham United start their campaign in the FA Cup this afternoon against non-league York City and are going to have to show some improvement on the last couple of games if they hope to go into the hat for the draw for the next round.
The Millers haven`t faired very well against non-league opposition in the FA Cup in recent years. They narrowly beat Wealdstone at this stage last year then lost to non-league Luton Town and a couple of years ago lost to Forest Green Rovers at Millmoor after drawing at the New Lawn which doesn`t really bode well for Ronnie Moore`s men.
Last season York, after beating Crewe and Cambridge, took the lead against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in the third round before eventually losing three-one, but have lost four and drawn one of their last five league games
Ronnie Moore - It`s an important game and I`ll play the eleven I feel are the best eleven. York haven`t had the best of seasons up to now but they`ve got a new manager in there. It will be an intriguing FA Cup tie and if we play to the best of our ability then we are a better team than them.
Gary Mills - We`re York City. Why should we raise our game because Rotherham are one league ahead of us? We might be the underdogs but we aren`t that far away from them. I know I`ve got players who can certainly play at the level Rotherham are at.
Chris Smith - York captain - It`s a tough draw away at Rotherham. They`re a good team, are at home but then we having nothing to lose and hopefully Rotherham will underestimate us and we can show what we are capable of
Ronnie Moore has threatened to ring the changes for this game and bring in some of the 'fringe` players. Marcus Marshall could get a start as could Jamie Green although the game might have come a little early for Mark Bradley
If there`s a chance Alfie will be around to put the ball in the net
It could be that Gary Mills shuffles his attackers around for this game, while midfielder, Neil Barrett is pushing for a start. Chris Carruthers is nearing full fitness and could feature.
Has met the Millers before when he was at Forest Green and has represented Wales at U19 and U21 level and can play right midfield, central midfield or right back
KG Evans from Lancashire
The Millers are in cup mode again on Tuesday night when Huddersfield Town come to Don Valley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy
