York City vs. Rotherham United

Bootham Crescent

17 November 2010

7.45pm

Millers v York Preview

Rotherham United travel to Bootham Crescent to take on York City this evening in the first round replay of the FA Cup.
The game at Don Valley ended nil-nil with the Millers having lost to Huddersfield in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy and beaten Oxford since then and York drawing one-one with Wrexham on Sunday.
A trip to Darlington awaits the eventual winners tonight.

Vital Quotes:

Gary Mills - The tie could be a cracker. Rotherham have had a couple of iffy results lately, including against ourselves when they probably expected to win although a good result at the weekend will boost their confidence. I know my players are capable of playing to a high standard but what`s been missing recently is the ability to score goals.
Ronnie Moore - We need the right attitude and to go and play at the right tempo. If we're anything like then I'd fancy us but it`s going to be a tough test
Andy Warrington -
'I think it will be really tough and, although I think we have more than enough in the dressing room to take care of them, it will be a difficult game.

York City Team News:

Like the Millers, York will be without loanees Ashley Chambers and Robbie Weir, though Jonathan Smith and Peter Till are back in contention for a place and Chris Smith will return after suspension. Although Levi Mackin and George Purcell are back in training after injury, this game is probably a bit too soon for them.

Player to watch: MICHAEL RANKINE

Tall striker and top scorer for York so far this season

Rotherham United Team News:

Rotherham United will be giving late fitness tests to Johnny Mullins and Ryan Cresswell. Mullins missed out at the weekend with a calf strain although has responded to treatment better than it was first thought he would while skipper Cresswell missed the second half of the game on Saturday with a back injury, although we understand he trained yesterday. Also missing will the loanee Danny Coid who is ineligible to play. Danny Harrison and Luke Ashworth are on standby to come into the side

Player to watch: NICK FENTON

Solid at the back

Ref Watch:

D Coote from Nottinghamshire
