Millers v Cobblers Preview

Rotherham United meet Northampton Town for their next League Two encounter at Don Valley this evening. After the win at Crewe on Saturday, the Millers have moved up into fourth place with the Cobblers, whose last away league win was at Lincoln at the beginning of the month are in twenty-second place

Vital Quotes:

Ronnie Moore - If our team is the team that turned up at Crewe on Saturday then everyone will be absolutely delighted. We've got to be positive

Andy Holt - We need to get a good positive result to take us into the weekend but it's going to be a tough game

Rotherham United Team News:

The Millers will be without skipper Ryan Cresswell who has a back problem and defender Tom Newey who will be serving a one game ban. It is hoped that Kevin Ellison, Nick Fenton and Mark Bradley, who have all been suffering strains or knocks, will be fit to play. The only real dilemma Ronnie Moore will have is whether to keep Jamie Annerson in goal or if Andy Warrington will go straight back in after coming back training

Player to watch: DANNY COID

Defender on loan from Blackpool who has slotted into the team well and was excellent at the weekend

Northampton Town Team News:

Northampton will be without Liam Davis who will be serving a one match ban after getting a red card on Saturday against Barnet and Marcus Hall will probably come in for him. Tadhg Purcell is out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage. Ian Sampson may have to make changes in midfield and Kevin Thornton, Paul Rodgers and Michael Jacobs could make an appearance.

Player to watch: LEON McKENZIE

Well travelled striker who is the Cobblers top scorer this season

Ref Watch:

RL Lewis from Shropshire

Next Fixtures:

The Millers next game is on Saturday, 4th December at Gillingham. Kick-off is 3.00pm
