Rotherham United vs. Aldershot Town

Don Valley Stadium

11 December 2010

3.00pm

Millers v Shots Preview

Rotherham United take on Aldershot town today, after fans helped to clear the snow off the pitch so the game could go ahead.
The Millers have had two blank Saturday's leading up to today, last week because of the weather, the game at Gillingham was postponed and the week before was an FA Cup weekend. Today's game is the last game at Don Valley before Christmas so the Millers will want to leave the fans happy.
The Shots, like Rotherham, were dumped out of the FA Cup by a non-league side, Dover Athletic and, also like the Millers had no game last week, so will be wanting to get back to winning ways.
The Millers are eight places above the Shots with a nine point difference.

Vital Quotes:

Ronnie Moore - Aldershot are a good side and I honestly believe they will be in a play-off position at the end of the season

Rotherham United Team News:

Ronnie Moore will probably give a start to Will Atkinson, who is on loan from Hull City. Both Ryan Cresswell and Andy Warrington are fit and willing after missing out on games lately. Dale Tonge hasn't played since March but won't be considered until he's got some reserve games under his belt and Danny Coid is a slight doubt with a hamstring injury

Player to watch: Adam Le Fondre

Having not scored for nearly a month, Alfie will want to find his scoring boots again

Aldershot Town Team News:

Damian Spencer is out with knee ligament problems and John Halls is out with a groin injury. Anthony Charles, who has been out with a hamstring injury, is rated as fifty-fifty. It could be that Kevin Dillon changes his team from the side who lost in the FA Cup to Dover.

Player to watch: Marvin Morgan

Tall forward, and top scorer for the Shots, who is a handful for the opposition

Ref Watch:

JG Sutton from Lincolnshire

Next Fixtures:

The Millers make the long journey to Torquay next Saturday (18th December) where the kick-off is 3.00pm
