Millers v Shrews Preview

Ignoring the snow falling outside, we shall carry on with the match preview!

It's third verses two this afternoon at Don Valley when Shrewsbury Town, who are one point and one place above the Millers.

After losing their last five away from home, Ronnie Moore saw his side lose yet again at Oxford on Saturday but they bounced back on Tuesday against Accrington, winning two-nil.

The Shrews, meanwhile, have had five wins on the bounce including winning their last two away from home, beating Lincoln City five-one and Southend two-nil

Vital Quotes:

Ronnie Moore - We know it's going to be tough but the incentive is that we could go into second place

Graham Turner - We're full of confidence at the moment. We've had Rotherham watched and they are hard working but I thnk, if we can get our passing game going on the difficult surface at Don Valley we'll be more than a match for anyone

Rotherham United Team News:

Rotherham United will welcome back on loan defender, Callum Kennedy, who served a one-match ban on Tuesday night. Ryan Cresswell is definitely out and Ian Thomas-Moore is a major doubt. Ryan Taylor, who is suffering from a groin injury, is only rated at fifty-fifty.

Player to watch: Omar Daley

came in on loan from Bradford last week and, after getting his first for the Millers on Tuesday night, will want to carry on scoring

Shrewsbury Town Team News:

Graham Turner could name the same side that's won the last two games, although James Collins is knocking on the door for a re-call. Nathan Elder and Benjamin van den Broek both returned in a reserve game in mid-week although Sean McAllister is definitely out after a hernia operation and Dave Raven is out with a hip injury.

Player to watch: Mark Wright

top scorer for the Shrews this season so far and has also set up a number of goals for others

Ref Watch:

P Tierney from Lancashire

Next Fixtures:

The Millers are away at Burton next Saturday with a 3.00pm kick-off
