Rotherham United vs. Shrewsbury Town

Don Valley Stadium

29 March 2011

7.45pm

Millers v Shrews Preview

Rotherham United Caretaker Manager and Assistant, Andy Liddell and Paul Warne, have their first game at Don Valley tonight when fellow promotion hopefuls Shrewsbury Town are the visitors.

Both teams have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three games - both having had five-nil losses away from home, the Millers at Chesterfield and the Shrews at Torquay.

Going into this game the Shrews are in fifth place, having one more point than the Millers in eighth place.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Liddell - Shrewsbury are a good team, very strong and well organised. They have a good manager in Graham Turner and it will be a tough game.

Graham Turner - We had Rotherham watched at Lincoln on Friday night and the report is that, although Lincoln were poor, Rotherham played well. They were full of energy and had some nice shape to the side and we know they've got some good players because they wouldn't be up there if they hadn't. It's going to be difficult, the place itself is difficult playing in an athletics stadium so far away from supporters so there's no atmosphere

Rotherham United Team News:

The only injury worry the Millers have is Nick Fenton who came off at half-time on Friday. If he's not fit then Ryan Cresswell will start. The problem Andy Liddell has is who to play and where. He made some changes on Friday, which paid off, and it could be that, as much as possible, he starts with the same side again.

Player to watch: Ian Thomas-Moore

Now he's actually playing up front he will want to add to his hat-trick of Friday night

Shrewsbury Town Team News:

Graham Turner could hand a debut to Niall Canavan who is on loan from Scunthorpe. Tom Bradshaw is also pushing for a start but Jermaine Grandison is unavailable as he is serving the last of a three match ban. Shane Cansdell-Sheriff has a slight calf problem but should be fit.

Player to watch: Matt Harrold

Joined the Shrews in the summer and has scored seven goals in twenty-seven starts

Ref Watch:

DJ Phillips from West Sussex

Next Fixtures:

The Millers entertain Morecambe at Don Valley on Saturday, 2 April, with a 3.00pm kick off
