Morecambe vs. Rotherham United

Globe Arena

25 October 2011

7.45pm

Millers v Shrimps Preview

Rotherham United travel to the Globe Arena this afternoon to take on a Morecambe side who beat Port Vale at Vale Park, four-nil, on Saturday.

Morecambe Manager, Jim Bentley, who is in his first management job will be delighted with how his team are doing. They are lying just outside the automatic promotion places in the league and had a great result at Port Vale on Saturday although they haven't actually won at the Globe Arena since their six-nil thrashing of Crawley Town in September.

The Millers have dropped to mid-table over the last couple of weeks and their last away win was in August against Crewe and have been leaking goals like they have been going out of fashion.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Scott - Morecambe had a great result on Saturday and it's going to be a tough game although we got a little bit of a boost on Saturday, so hopefully that will put a bit of a spring in our step. Morecambe have a lot of confidence and their players are playing with freedom. Jim Bentley has a great affiliation with the club which has helped with the transition of player to manager

Morecambe Team News:

Jim Bentley will be without striker Phil Jevons who is suspended. Former Miller, Kevin Ellison, is also out with a knee injury, though it isn't as bad as first thought. Danny Carlton should retain his place

Player to watch: Nick Fenton

Experienced defender who has a point to prove to his former club

Rotherham United Team News:

Andy Scott's side took a few knocks on Saturday and there are still one or two who are struggling. Alex Revell, who became a father on Saturday, will be back in contention for a starting place. There will be late fitness tests for centre-backs Johnny Mullins and Michael Raynes

Player to watch: Lewis Grabban

Scored a scorcher on Saturday and will want to add to his goal tally this evening

Ref Watch:

Tony Bates from Staffordshire

Next Fixtures:

The Millers travel to Northampton on Saturday for a 3.00pm kick-off
