Barrow vs. Rotherham United

Holker Street

Millers v Bluebirds Preview

Rotherham United make the long trip to Barrow tomorrow for the first game in this seasons FA Cup competition.

The Bluebirds come into this game with just one defeat in their last five games and came from one down against Witton Albion in the last qualifying round to win four-one. The Millers should be full of confidence after winning their game against Aldershot last week.

In the first round of the FA Cup last season, Barrow lost one-nil at Evo-Stik N Premier side while the Millers drew with non-league York City before finally losing to them three-nil in a replay.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Scott - It's a non-league side playing at home against a league side and they will always fancy their chances. It's a tough place to go and both myself and Patto (Darren Patterson) have first hand experience of that. It's a tight ground and the crowd are enthusiastic and get behind their team. We know we've got to be at our best to beat them. They're a decent side and the gap between the Conference and League Two has narrowed drastically so there is no reason for us to go there and think it's going to be an easy game because its going to be anything but.

Phil Bolland, Barrow skipper - I don`t want to belittle Rotherham, because they are in a higher division but I don`t think there will be much between the teams. When you look at the playing budgets there will be a very big gap, but player for player I don`t think there will be much in it. It will certainly be a good test for us and it won`t be easy, but Rotherham certainly won`t relish coming here.

Barrow Team News:

Phil Bolland made his comeback after injury in the previous cup-tie and if he keeps his place tomorrow there will be no room for former Miller Andy Nicholas. Mike Pearson will partner either Bolland or Nicholas. Louis Almond, on loan from Blackpool, is pushing for a start.

Player to watch: Adam Boyes

Scored four goals in the last round and he was awarded the Budweiser Player of the Round

Rotherham United Team News:

Rotherham are without on loan pair Guy Branston and Jon Harley and it seems that Tom Newey will come back into the starting eleven and, depending if he's fit, Michael Raynes could return or Andy Scott might keep Jason Taylor in the centre-half position. Chris Holroyd could start up front after doing well last week in the two-nil win over Aldershot.

Player to watch: Lewis Grabban

Will want to add to his nine goal tally with FA Cup goals

Ref Watch:

James Adcock from Nottingham

Next Fixtures:

The Millers return to the league next week and travel to Bradford City on Saturday, 19th November. Kick-off is 3.00pm
