Gillingham vs. Rotherham United

Priestfield Stadium

Millers v Gills Preview

Rotherham United travel to the Priestfield Stadium this evening to take on a Gillingham side who have been a bit out of sorts recently.

The Gills have lost their last five league games, having last won on 2nd January at home against Aldershot while the Millers have got seven points out of their last three games.

Vital Quotes:

Andy Scott - It's a very tough place to go. They were unfortunate to lose their game against Port Vale on Saturday. They've spent a lot of money and have brought in some good players from higher divisions and I think they are struggling, like we did, with the amount of injuries and suspensions they've had and they haven't been able to put a consistent side out. Andy (Hessenthaler) is a good manager and they have some good players with good ability and experience but they are just lacking in confidence. They would have been everyone`s favourites to get in the top three but they haven't quite fulfilled that, though it doesn't mean that they aren't a tough side to play against. We will be fancying our chances but have to put in a performance like we did at Southend. The crowd will be intimidating down there but our crowds, that we take away, have been fantastic all this season.

Gillingham Team News:

Charlie Lee faces a late fitness test and Simon King may not be able to play for another full ninety minutes so Garry Richards could get a recall. Andy Hessenthaler might go with the youngsters again with both Connor Essam and Jack Evans playing well on Saturday.

Player to watch: Danny Kedwell

Powerful striker who joined from Wimbledon this summer and, so far this season is the Gills top scorer

Rotherham United Team News:

Andy Scott has been 'looking at his options' before this evenings game with Gillingham and could be thinking about a couple of changes with all the Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday games which means Lewis Grabban and Ryan Cresswell might get more minutes in the game. Danny Schofield should return to the squad after having a wisdom tooth problem at the weekend.

Player to watch: Johnny Mullins

Always gives one hundred per cent - and we could need that tonight

Ref Watch:

Andy Woolmer from Northamptonshire
