Rotherham United vs. Rochdale

New York Stadium

18 September 2012

7.45pm

Millers v Dale Preview

Rotherham United take on Rochdale this evening at the New York Stadium with both teams coming into the game on the back of wins.

The Millers one-nil win at home over Torquay on Saturday moved them into sixth place and will want to make this one a fourth straight league win at home.

The Dale are two points worse off than the Millers in fourteenth place but have only lost one game away from home so far this season and won away at Wimbledon on Saturday.

Vital Quotes:

Steve Evans - It will be a tough game tonight. The front two are a real handful and they are a really good footballing side. John Coleman is an experienced manager who is very passionate and knows League Two inside out and he'll be trying desperately to get Rochdale back into League One at the first attempt.

John Coleman - We'll go to Rotherham believing. Even when there's been set-backs the players heads haven't gone down which is a good sign. When you have a group of new players it sometimes takes a little bit longer than you might have anticipated and we are still learning each others' game. But there are signs that we are doing better and we have to build on that.e`

Rotherham United Team News:

Both Kari Arnason and Mark Bradley are rated at sixty-forty to play a part in tonight's game although it is thought Arnason is nearer to playing than Bradley. Laurie Wilson is still out with a knee ligament problem and David Noble isn't training due to personal problems so won't play. It is probable that Steve Evans will play the same side that started on Saturday.

Player to watch: Kayode Odejayi

Big K can be a nightmare to play against as he holds the ball up well and has put in some good balls to his striking partners this season. Will be desperate to get on the score sheet tonight.

Rochdale Team News:

John Coleman probably won't risk his skipper Peter Cavanagh as he is still suffering with a calf problem and will definitely be without long term injured Matt Edwards (wrist), Reece Gray (leg) and Luke Watson (knee) Dale will probably start with the same side that won at the weekend.

Player to watch: Rhys Bennett

Young defender who joined Rochdale from Bolton in the summer and made his debut on Saturday and was named in the Npower League Two Team of the Week.

Ref Watch:

Scott Duncan from Northumberland.

Next Fixtures:

The Millers face Barnet away on Saturday, 20th September when it will be a 3.00pm kick-off
