York City vs. Rotherham United

Millers v Minstermen Preview

Rotherham United make the short trip to Bootham Crescent today to take on a York City side that have only won once since their Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over the Millers at the New York Stadium at the start of last month.

Of the four games played at home the Minstermen have only won one while the Millers are still waiting for their first victory away from the New York Stadium this season.

There is only one point difference between the Millers in eleventh place and City who lie in fourteenth although Rotherham have a game in hand after their game against Accrington was postponed on Tuesday night.

Vital Quotes:

Steve Evans - I watched York against Fleetwood on Tuesday night and they were by far the better side and played some fantastic football and we know we are going to a real difficult place

Michael Ingham - 'Keeper - We have played some great stuff at times at York which will hopefully continue. Rotherham will be a good test for us and will give us an indication of where we are in the league

York City Team News:

Gary Mills could have Scott Kerr back in contention after he played sixty minutes of a reserve win on Wednesday for the first time since last March. Midfielder Daniel Kearns has joined on loan from Peterborough and also played in the reserve match so is also a possible starter.

Player to watch: Michael Coulson

Striker who can operate on either flank and is top scorer this season

Rotherham United Team News:

Rotherham United's Management team could maybe make a slight change to the formation for the game against York which, if it happens, could mean a change in the starting eleven and it could mean that we see David Noble make his first start since the beginning of September. Laurie Wilson played in a practice game on Wednesday and it is thought, if needed, he could play although he could sit out another week. One player who won't be involved in defender Johnny Mullins who has gone on loan to Oxford

Player to watch: Michael O'Connor

Midfielder who likes to get amongst the goals
