Rotherham United vs. Northampton Town

New York Stadium

Millers v Cobblers Preview

Rotherham United welcome Northampton Town to the New York Stadium this afternoon in which is a fourth v ninth encounter.

The Millers go into this game with losses in their last two home games while the Cobblers have won four of their last six games.

Vital Quotes:

Steve Evans - Northampton are the form team in League Two, they will be the biggest team that supporters see this season in terms of bulk and size. They are direct and get the ball into the box at every opportunity. It's about what we do though. If we don't perform we'll have no chance of winning.

Aidy Boothroyd - I'm sure Rotherham will come flying out of the traps. They have had one or two results at home that haven't gone their way and hopefully we can be another.

Rotherham United Team News:

Steve Evans is set to give a debut to striker Jordan Slew who signed on Thursday from Blackburn Rovers. After making a number of changes in the last two games he could make more today which could include a start for fit again David Noble. There are minor doubts for Adam Morgan and Lee Frecklington

Player to watch: Michael O'Connor

Midfielder who will be looking to add to his goal tally of five

Northampton Town Team News:

Aidy Boothroyd has bolstered his squad with striker Roy O'Donovan and midfielder Manny Oyeleke and it is expected they will both make their debuts today. Former Miller David Artell has been out with an Achilles tendon problem but has a chance of playing some part in the game.

Player to watch: Roy O'Donovan

Former Republic of Ireland U21 striker who joined Town this week from Coventry City and will want to get off to a flying start

Ref Watch:

Nigel Miller from Co. Durham

Next Fixtures:

The Millers make the short journey to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday, 9th February to take on Burton Albion where it will be a 3.00pm kick-off
