Rotherham United vs. Crewe Alexandra

Millers v Alex Preview

Rotherham United take on Crewe Alexandra on Saturday at the New York Stadium with both teams having had a free weekend last week due to Cup games.

The Millers go into this game in the last play-off spot but having lost their last two games whereas the Alex have won their last two games although still languish in the bottom four of the table fourteen points behind Rotherham.

Vital Quotes:

Steve Evans - Crewe are a team I think highly of. They have won their last two games and they like to express themselves in the better stadiums where they embrace the game. But we've got an objective to stay in this play-off group so know we have to get three points to be certain of still being there. But we can't forget that we nicked a draw there at the beginning of the season. In the first twenty-five minutes we didn't know if we were in League One in England or League One in America and it was a culture shock. But, if we play at our best then I'm confident we can win the game

Steve Davies - We should have won the game at the beginning of the season but we threw it away but credit to them because they kept fighting and we are now showing that same sort of fight. So that will be a confidence booster to us knowing if we go go behind on Saturday we can do to them what they did to us. We know they are a good team and their league position suggests that and they will be happy where they are. They are a force in this league but we'll go there looking forward to the game and I'm looking forward to meeting up with my old pal Steve Evans

Rotherham United Team News:

Rotherham United will be without suspended pair Craig Morgan and Claude Davis but look to have everyone else, who haven't gone out on loan this week, available including new boys Miles Addison and Tom Hitchcock who look to be in the starting eleven.

Player to watch: Kieran Agard

Not having scored for four games the Millers striker will want to add to his twelve goals

Crewe Alexandra Team News:

Crewe could have long term injury victim Mathias Pogba back, though if so it is likely he`ll start on the bench. Definitely back are George Evans, after serving a suspension, Adam Dugdale, who was suffering from concussion, and Ollie Turton who has had a knee problem. Ryan Colclough and Max Clayton will both be missing.

Player to watch: Chukwuemeka Ademola Amachi Aneke

Chuks signed a one month loan spell with Crewe in September 2012, from Arsenal, and has been a regular every since after having the loan extended more than once. He has physical strength and is a very good passer of a ball as well as knowing where the net is.
