Millers v Bees Preview

Rotherham United's last game before the International Break is at home against a team who came up with the Millers last season, Brentford.

The Millers start the game in fourteenth place in the Championship having won two lost two so far this season while the Bees are just one place and one point behind having won one and drawn two games.

Like the Millers, Brentford also lost one-nil in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday when Fulham beat them at Griffin Park.

Vital Quotes:

Steve Evans - Brentford are a quality side and Mark Warburton stokes the fire in the engine. He has fantastic backing by the owners and they have some good supporters down there who will travel to the New York in good numbers. They've improved all over the park since last season with some fantastic options up front and a midfield that is blessed with talent.

Mark Warburton - Rotherham United will be a very formidable test, They have got a real feel good factor about the place with the new stadium and coming back from two behind in the play-off final. Steven Evans has done a magnificent job at the club and we need to recognise that be prepared for it and, as always, look to impose our style of play on the game. We have to be positive, be penetrating, create chances, test the keeper and hopefully score the goals

Rotherham United Team News:

Mat Sadler could play after having stitches in a head wound on Tuesday night but there are concerns over Paul Taylor who has a virus. Richie Smallwood and Anthony Wordsworth will be in contention for the game after being cup-tied for the game against Swansea. It's doubtful that Frazer Richardson with a foot injury, ankle injury duo Ryan Hall and Paul Green and Mark Bradley, knee injury, will make it and Rob Milsom is definitely out

Player to watch: Kari Arnason

Having a great season so far and will probably be back in his more usual position of defender after his foray into midfield on Tuesday night

Brentford Team News:

Tony Craig will be back in contention after serving a suspension on Tuesday against Fulham although Harlee Dean did well in his place. Scott Hogan should be involved after an ankle injury with Alex Pritchard, Alan McCormack, Jonathan Douglas and Alan Judge all available. Winger Sam Saunders is out with a knee problem

Player to watch: Alex Pritchard

Attacking midfielder on loan from Spurs who Millers fans will remember from his loan spell at Swindon last year and who has just been called up for the England U21 squad.
