Millers v Robins Preview

Bristol City
Rotherham United

Ashton Gate

4 February 2016

Rotherham United travel to Ashton Gate this afternoon to take on Bristol City.

Sitting just three points above the relegation places City go into this afternoon's game on the back of a good home draw against Sheffield Wednesday. The Millers were away against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night losing to two second half goals.

The Millers are yet to get an away win this season with their only away point coming at the end of October against Ipswich Town. Bristol City's last home win was also against Ipswich in the first game in December.

Vital Quotes:

Dean Holden - We've got a good strong squad and what's good is that we've got options. I know Warney very well and he's an enthusiastic character who's got them (Rotherham) going and they're all running their socks off for him. We know where their strengths are and where we can hurt them and we want to get on the front foot in this game and excite the fans.

Paul Warne - I'm hopeful that this game away this weekend will see the lads go at it and have a real belief and come away with the points. Regrettably we haven't played brilliantly away from home but we have been good in periods. We're not far away and I'm not trying to blind people with fibs but we're not. I just beg people to get behind the lads and show them your support.

Bristol City Team News:

City will have new signings David Cotterill and Matty Taylor available for selection and although Joe Bryan is classed as doubtful it is thought he will play some part in the game. It's probably too early for injured pair Adam Matthews and Korey Smith who are now back in training.

Player to watch: Matty Taylor

Already scoring nineteen goals this season Matty will want to show his new team what he can do

Rotherham United Team News:

Paul Warne will be without Lee Frecklington, Aimen Belaid, Darnell Fisher, Kirk Broadfoot, Lee Camp and Jonson Clarke-Harris as well as new signing Carlton Morris while Dexter Blackstock is also a doubt. But new boy Ben Purrington could get his debut while Semi Ajayi will keep his place in the starting eleven. And Joel Ekstrand, who joined until the end of the season on Thursday, might get some minutes on the pitch (a pitch he knows well as he is returning to his former club).

Player to watch: Richard O'Donnell

Would love to keep a clean sheet against his former side
