4 April 2017

On Sky

Rotherham United welcome local rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Sky Cameras to the New York Stadium this evening which will be the Millers last evening kick-off of the season.

After a one-nil loss at home against Fulham on Saturday the Millers were finally relegated with Sheffield Wednesday coming to Rotherham after getting a point from another derby at Oakwell on Saturday.

The Owls come to the New York Stadium just one point out of the play-off places, forty-five points above the Millers who have got just seventeen points this season (so far).

Vital Quotes:

Paul Warne - We are the massive underdogs and any team that comes and plays us at the moment there is massive expectation on them to win. So I think they will come to this game not really wanting to be here. I don't think they'll come just thinking they've got to turn up.

Carlos Carvalhal - I expect a tough game. I expect them to be a team that is very hard working and creates problems. I hope that Rotherham will get back to the Championship next season, it's good for the region and for Yorkshire.

Rotherham United Team News:

Danny Ward and Lee Frecklington are both struggling and while Ben Purrington has had a slight hamstring problem he looks fit enough to be in the squad. Joe Mattock is also in contention after coming back from suspension.

Player to watch: Will Vaulks

Right-back, left-back, in-between back, Will gives his all wherever we stick him

Sheffield Wednesday Team News:

Fernando Forestieri could be back after missing three games with a knee injury and Vincent Sasso is suspended. Sam Hutchinson won't make it after getting a calf injury at the weekend but Gary Hooper is pushing for a recall while Ross Wallace could also be back in the squad.

Player to watch: Sam Winnall

Scored his first goal since February at the weekend and will probably be expecting to add to that tonight
