Millers v Wigan Preview
8 April 2017
Rotherham United travel to the DW Stadium tomorrow to take on fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic.
Being called a 'must win' game for Wigan they are seven points below safety having not got any points since the first week in March. Relegated Rotherham have nothing but pride to play for.
The Millers go into this match not having won an away game this season and on the back of nine losses with Wigan's last away win being that one in March at St Andrews against Birmingham City.
Graham Barrow - We'll be lifting the players because it's clear to everybody the importance of this game. The supporters have been great and I`ve no doubt they`ll be behind us again on Saturday, but it really is up to ourselves to do something.
Paul Warne - Wigan recruited pretty heavily in January and aren't as bad as their league position suggests. What I do know is that they know they have to win it and it's going to be a tough game. I think it will be a game of goals and to get even a point there we are going to have to score and that means we need to take our chances.
Wigan Athletic Team News:
The Latics look like being without both Omar Bogle and Will Grigg for the rest of the season. Andy Kellett, Donervon Daniels, Nick Powell and Ryan Tunnicliffe are all injured and won't play today.
Player to watch: Craig Morgan
Former Millers skipper will want to do well against his former club
Rotherham United Team News:
Paul Warne's first game in charge as 'proper' Manager could see him have Lee Frecklington back in the travelling squad. Tom Adeyemi could also travel having been out since mid-March. Ben Purrington is a doubt with hamstring problems while Darnell Fisher is also a doubt suffering with fatigue. Goalkeeper Lewis Price is suffering from soreness and if he misses out then fit again Richard O'Donnell will take his place.
Player to watch: Semi Ajayi
Could well be under pressure from the off today and will need to show all his skills to help keep the Latics out
