Millers v Fleetwood Preview

Fleetwood Town
vs.
Rotherham United

Highbury Stadium

5 August 2017

3.00pm

Rotherham United's first appearance in League One since beating Leyton Orient at Wembley in May 2015 sees them travel to the seaside to play Fleetwood Town.

After a season to forget last season the Millers have had probably one of the best pre-season's for some years and will be hoping to keep this up and get off to a good start this afternoon with points on the board.

And Fleetwood will want to make a good impression on their first football league outing since losing out in the play-offs to Bradford last season.

Vital Quotes:

Uwe Rosler - I feel that we are prepared for this game. I can feel that the tension is rising in the whole club but that is normal before the season starts. We are looking forward to the game and we are playing one of the favourites to go up.

Paul Warne - Fleetwood will be really organised and a difficult team to break down. They are dangerous in various positions and set-pieces. We've got to go there and silence their crowd.

Fleetwood Town Team News:

Town have a host of new signings in their ranks and Uwe Rosler has a full squad to pick from for this afternoon's game.

Player to watch: Conor McAleny

Conor McAleny

A product of the Everton Academy, striker Conor will be hoping to make his debut for his new club this afternoon.

Rotherham United Team News:

Like Fleetwood the Millers have also a lot of new names on the team sheet this afternoon and competition for starting places will be high. Although Paul Warne has no major injuries he won't be risking Alex Bray.

Player to watch: David Ball

With Fleetwood last season David joined the Millers in the summer and has been impressive in pre-season.
