Millers vs. Seasiders

Millmoor

10 February 2006

3.00 pm

Seasiders come to Millmoor

Rotherham play host to Blackpool on Saturday and would like the same result that they came away with from Bloomfield Road way back in the August sunshine.

Vital Quotes:

Millers Team News:

The Millers will still be without Paul Hurst and Colin Murdock as they go into their first home game for four weeks. Gregor Robertson is also still out and has had an injection in his ankle. Although Michael Keane is ready to return after three months out it seems likely that Alan Knill would want him to have match practice before starting a first team game. Home debuts for Craig Fleming and Theo Streete look likely.

Alan Knill told the Advertiser that he hopes Millmoor passes an early pitch inspection this afternoon. 'We need to play,` he said, 'especially at home. We need to try and get a win on board.`

Seasiders Team News:

Blackpool manager, Simon Grayson, faced calls for his head after the Millers won at Bloomfield Road in August. But after finding strike partners Scott Vernon and Andy Morrell the goals started to come. And the team got into their stride in December, winning five out of six games, which saw the Manager of the Month award go to Grayson.

It seems likely that Vernon and Morrell will return to the starting line-up after being rested last weekend, when the Seasiders lost 3-1 at home to Brentford. Ex-Miller Shaun Barker will almost certainly start at centre-half.
