Millers v Shrews Preview

Rotherham United
vs.
Shrewsbury Town

New York Stadium

18 November 2017

3.00pm

Rotherham United welcome Shrewsbury Town and former Miller Paul Hurst to the New York Stadium this afternoon.

The Shrews come to Rotherham in top spot of League One while Rotherham moved back into the top six after their draw with Doncaster Rovers last weekend.

Due to International call-ups Shrewsbury didn't have a game last weekend with their last away league game seeing them lose one-nil at Peterborough. The Millers last home game saw Gillingham come away with a three-one win.

Vital Quotes:

Paul Warne - The way he's going Paul Hurst could be Manager of the Year. The way they play Shrewsbury make it really difficult for the opposition. They are really organised, really fit and hard working.

Paul Hurst - One thing I know is that Warney will have the team fired-up irrespective of the opposition and his team will be fit. I'm expecting a very tough game with a really good atmosphere.

Rotherham United Team News:

The Millers could have skipper Lee Frecklington back in the squad on Saturday but it looks like Jon Taylor will be missing after going off early last weekend with knee problems. There's also a slight doubt over Joe Newell and while Michael Ihiekwe is suspended, Joe Mattock is back from suspension so will probably take his place.

Player to watch: Kieffer Moore

It wouldn't be Saturday if Kieffer didn't score

Shrewsbury Town Team News:

The Shrews could be without Jon Nolan who is suffering with a hip problem but skipper Abu Ogogo will be back after suspension. Junior Brown will sit the rest of the season on the sidelines with a knee injury

Player to watch: Carlton Morris

Striker who featured eight times for the Millers last season on loan from Norwich finds himself out on loan again this season with Shrewsbury. He will be wanting to add to the six goals he's already bagged this season
