Millers v Wimbledon Preview

Rotherham United
AFC Wimbledon

New York Stadium

3 February 2018

Rotherham United welcome AFC Wimbledon to the New York Stadium for the first home game of February and, which in fairness, is probably the league's two in form sides at the moment.

The Millers go into this game in sixth place, a point above Charlton and one point behind Bradford City and are on a nine undefeated run. Wimbledon are in sixteenth place and have a game in hand of Fleetwood who are two points ahead of them.

Wimbledon's last away game saw them beat Bradford City four-nil while Rotherham's last home win was a two-nil win, also against Bradford.

Before today's game there will be a minute's applause to remember former Miller Keith Pring.

Vital Quotes:

Paul Warne - Wimbledon are on a really good run and hardly concede and they do well away from home. We won't be underestimating them.

Neal Ardley - Rotherham have done a great job and it is a challenge, but it's a good one. I'm looking forward to it.

Rotherham United Team News:

Paul Warne has no new injury problems for this game. He could give Matty Palmer and Caolan Lavery their debuts after they signed during the last week of the window. Coming back from injury and having played in a reserve game Jon Taylor might have a chance of a start.

Player to watch: Semi Ajayi

Defender who can worry opposing forwards and can worry opposing defenders at the other end too

AFC Wimbledon Team News:

After coming off the bench twice, Neal Ardley could hand a first start to Joe Pigott who signed in January. Still out injured are Will Nightingale and Dean Parrett.

Player to watch: Lyle Taylor

Top scorer so far this season but hasn't found the back of the net yet in 2018. Scored a hat-trick against the Millers in October.
