Millers v Iron Preview

Scunthorpe United
vs.
Rotherham United

Glanford Park

10 February 2018

3.00pm

Rotherham United make the short trek into Lincolnshire this afternoon to take on Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.

Flying high in fourth place the Iron last lost at home to Gillingham in mid-January. Meanwhile Rotherham, just one place behind, last lost away at the beginning of December against Bristol Rovers.

Last time out the Millers beat Wimbledon at the New York Stadium while Scunthorpe won away at Fleetwood.

Vital Quotes:

Graham Alexander - We know it will be a difficult game between two very good teams, who have won a lot of points this season but we have to take confidence from the way we played last week. It should be a good crowd and atmosphere.

Paul Warne - I think if you're within five points of Scunny you are guaranteed to be in the play-offs because they are usually there or thereabouts. It's always tight there with their fans almost on the pitch and we are taking a really good following. I'm expecting a good game.

Scunthorpe United Team News:

The Iron will have Cameron Burgess back in contention after serving a one match ban last week. After injury Luke Williams could also return to the squad but injured trio Kyle Wootton, Jordan Clarke and Jonathon Margetts are still missing.

Player to watch: Josh Morris

Former Millers loanee Josh is Scunthorpe's top scorer so far this season with ten goals.

Rotherham United Team News:

Richie Towell could return for the Millers after missing last week but only if he's one hundred per cent fit. Apart from the long term injured everyone else is fit and raring to go although Michael Smith will be playing in a mask after getting a nose injury last week.

Player to watch: Semi Ajayi

Tall defender who was nominated for the League One Player of the Month for January and will need to be on the ball to keep out the Iron this afternoon
