Hereford United vs. Millers

Edgar Street

11 August

3pm

Season Opener

Rotherham's first match of the new campaign finds them visiting Edgar Street to play Hereford United.

Like The Millers, The Bulls have also added a lot of new personnel to their squad this season.

The last time these two teams met in the league was fifteen years ago

Vital Quotes:

Bulls manager, Graham Turner has said that he thinks Rotherham will be amongst the favourites to go up. 'It wasn't that long ago they were in the Championship and the reports I've had about them have been very complimentary. It'll be a hard game, there's no doubt about that.'

Millers boss, Mark Robins, said 'We are looking forward to the game and we have to treat Hereford with respect. If we don't respect the way they play we are liable to get kicked in the teeth. I think we are prepared for the game.'

Hereford United Team News:

The Bulls have today completed the loan signings of Theo Robinson and Toumani Diagouraga (who was at Millmoor last season) from Watford. Chris Weale, also on loan from Bristol City, could start as Wayne Brown may not be fit and Trevor Benjamin, who also joined this week, should play alongside Steve Guinan

Player to watch: Trevor Benjamin

Millers Team News:

Tom Cahill and Mark Hudson are out and there is a doubt over Marc Joseph who is getting over a kidney infection. Dale Tonge, Danny Harrison and Stephen Brogan should be in the starting eleven with a possible place on the bench for new loanee Marcus Bean

Player to watch: Chris O'Grady
