Lions v Millers

Nine and a half thousand fans at The Den saw Millwall take apart a woeful looking Rotherham United today as the Lions Neil Harris wrote himself into their record books.

Harris, back at Millwall after having a two year sabbatical, scored a sixteenth minute goal to set up a new goal scoring League record of ninety-four. From a Neal Ardley corner his initial header and follow up shot were blocked but he made no mistake with his third bite of the cherry, which he drilled into the bottom left hand side of the goal.

On the 26th minute Millwall doubled their advantage when Chris Zebroski pushed past Stephen Brogan then calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the visitors net and the game was killed off when ex-Miller, Darren Byfield, expertly headed the ball past Neil Cutler on the 39th minute leaving the Millers looking down and out.

In the second half Rotherham stemmed the tide but it became an ill tempered contest with Referee Keith Hill having to calm down both sides on separate occasions before sending off Millers midfielder Justin Cochrane after his long running feud with the Lions Alan Dunne boiled over. The Millers new signing, Chris O`Grady was handed his debut fifteen minutes after half time, when he came on for Delroy Facey. But Byfield rubbed salt into the Millers wounds by curling an excellent shot into the top corner of the net, leaving Cutler stranded, to make it 4-0 in injury time.

9 and half thousand there and 150 or so totally peed off with a disgraceful performance and a long journey home. Need to get back on track.
