Stocksbridge PS 2 - Millers 4

Bracken Moor

23 July 7.30 pm

Attendance:

Millers Win Friendly

Rotherham got their first pre-season victory tonight away to Stocksbridge PS, with a hat-trick from Ryan Taylor and a goal from Chris O'Grady.

The visitors went ahead in the first minute with Taylor's first goal of the game but Stocksbridge fought back and fifteen minutes later their centre forward put the ball into the top corner to make the game one all. Within ten minutes Taylor had his second from the penalty spot and before half-time O'Grady scored to take the visitors futher into the lead.

The second half started much as the first, with Taylor getting his third and the Millers fourth in the first minute. Then the home side got a penalty which was converted to make it two - four.

As with the game at Altrincham on Saturday, manager Mark Robins made ten substitutions on the hour mark, putting on ten less experienced players for the final fifteen minutes.

Another good work out for the team, four more goals scored and a win to boot!
