Mr Richard Beeby from Northamptonshire

Born on 11th February 1962 Richard works as a planning officer in local government and is a life member at Northamptonshire CCC, whilst also enjoying a game of golf.
He was promoted to The National List of Referees in 1999 and has had a successful career to date refereeing FL Play Off Semi Finals in 2004, 2005 and 2007, and a final in 2004.
In season 2004-05 he refereed matches in the Premier League and in 2005 he refereed the FA Vase Final.
When asked why he became a Referee, he said,
'I played locally in Northampton as a goalkeeper and broke my neck in a challenge. I couldn't play following this incident so became an Assistant Manager but whilst I enjoyed the coaching, I was bored during the game itself. I wanted to be active during the match so I attended the referee`s course and loved it'.
