Mr Michael J Jones from Chester

Born on 18th April 1968, Michael is one of the League's most experienced Referee's.
He started Refereeing in 1983 and progressed through the Chester and District local league's before getting on the Football League list of assistant referee's in 1992-93.
4 season's later he was promoted to the National list of Football League referee's.

His most prestigious appointment so far came when he was 4th official at the 2004 Carling Cup final between Middlesborough and Bolton.

So far this season he has taken charge of 13 games, showing yellow 34 times and handing out 3 reds.
His most recent red came on November 1st in the 2-2 draw between West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers in the Premiership.
Rovers striker Benni McCarthy was the recipient after 2 yellows, firstly for a foul on Albion's Jonathan Greening, then for an handball offence.
