RUFC - Ref Watch v Exeter City

RUFC - Ref Watch v Exeter City
MR GRAHAM D HORWOOD from Luton, Bedfordshire

A married man with two young children Graham stared refereeing at fifteen years of age and reached the National list of assistant referees in 2001 after progressing through the South Midlands and Isthmian Leagues. He was promoted to the List of Panel referees in 2005 and the National List of referees in 2007, the year in which he refereed the Conference Play Off Semi-final between Exeter and Oxford United.

When asked how did you get introduced into refereeing? Graham replied,
At the age of 16, two of my team mates from my Sunday side completed the exam so I thought it would be a good idea. Used to referee the juniors in the morning and play in the afternoon. Better way of earning money than doing a paper round.

He has taken charge of just 1 previous Rotherham United game, this being the 2-0 defeat at Barnet on Saturday 29th September 2007, in which he booked 4 players including debutant Ryan Cresswell and Liam King from the Millers.

His record this season so far is 13 games, 62 yellows and just 1 red, this was for Wolves, Richard Stearman for a second bookable offence during their 5-2 defeat at Norwich.
His latest appointment was Ketterings 2-1 FA Cup 1st round replay win at Lincoln City last week.

The Fourth Official is...
