'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Luton

Darren Deadman from Cheshunt

Darren started reffing in the Ishmian League and Panel Leagues after getting injured while playing semi-professional football. He joined the National List of Assistant Referees in 2000 and five years later he joined the Referee's list.

Last season, Darren was in charge of our 3-1 win over Morecambe at Millmoor. Morecambe took the lead just after half-time with a goal from Jim Bentley. The Millers were awarded a penalty in the seventy-first minute which Stephen Brogan put away followed ten minutes later by the first of two goals from Jamie Yates - his second coming three minutes from time. That day Darren booked Mark Hudson from Rotherham and Morecambe players Danny Adams, David Artell, Jim Bentley and Craig Stanley.

So far this season, Darren has been in charge of thirty-one games and has dished out ninety-seven yellow and seven red cards.

He will be assisted by

L Betts from Norfolk and
KG Yeo from Essex

The fourth official will be

S Burt from Northamptonshire
