RUFC - Ref Watch v Shrews

David Webb from Co Durham

This is David's first season on the National List of Referee's and he says he decided to take up refereeing when he saw a course advertised in a football match day programme.

This is his second trip to Don Valley - the first being for our game in August against Chester. The game ended in a three-one win to the Millers, all four goals coming in the first half. Ian Sharps put the Millers ahead in the second minute and twelve minutes later Reuben Reid doubled the score. Kevin Ellison got the visitors a goal back but Alex Rhodes scored the Millers third on twenty-seven minutes. David booked Jamie Yates of Rotherham that day and Chester's James Vaughan.

This season, David has been in charge of twenty-one games, dishing out thirty-six yellow cards and just one red (and that was to Ian Goodison of Tranmere).

Carrying the flags this weekend will be ...
I Nolan from Lancashire and
J Whiteley from West Yorkshire

The Fourth Official is...
GJ Sutton from Lincolnshire
