RUFC - Head-to-Head v Macclesfield

Rotherham and Macclesfield have only met eight times before in the league with the Silkmen not winning any of the eight.

The first time the teams met was actually in the FA Cup in December 1987 at Moss Rose where the home team easily beat the Millers 4-0. Town were the winners when they met at Millmoor in the Football League Trophy in 2005 when a twenty-fourth minute goal from Paul Evans for the Millers was bettered by two goals for Town by Jonathan Parkin and Kevin Sandwith.

Last season the Millers won both League games - 2-1 at Macclesfield (Dale Tonge and Ian Sharps for the Millers and Francis Green for the Silkmen) and 2-0 at Don Valley with goals from Mark Hudson and Rueben Reid.
