RUFC - Head-to-Head v Morecambe

Rotherham and Morecambe haven`t met very often in the League - in fact, only four times. They met twice in the FA Cup when Morecambe were in non-league football with the first game at Morecambe being a one all draw and Morecambe winning the replay at Millmoor by two goals to nil

Last season, Rotherham won both league games. The game at Morecambe was won three-one with goals from Mark Lynch (two) and Ryan Taylor for the visitors and Neil Wainwright getting one back for Morecambe. At Don Valley, the game was a bit closer with the Millers winning three-two. Ryan Taylor scored on half-time to put the home side in the lead and seven minutes into the second half Diarmuid O'Carroll drew the visitors` level. Jason Taylor put the Millers back in the lead and Mark Burchill got the third from the penalty spot in the final minute. From the re-start, Morecambe went down the pitch and Jim Bentley put the ball in the net. Luckily, Referee, Trevor Kettle, didn`t add much time on and the Millers got the three points.
