'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Wealdstone

Andy Penn from the West Midlands

Andy was only fourteen when he started refereeing and worked his way up through local and Central League football. In 1996 he joined the National List of Assistant Referees and for three years was a panel referee. He was promoted to the National List of Referees in 2001.

Andy was in the middle for our game last season at Accrington. The Millers were 3-1 winners that day, with two goals from Mark Burchill (one a pen) and one from Drewe Broughton two minutes from time. Andrew Proctor scored Stanley's goal. Andy yellow carded Mark Hudson that day.

In the twelve games he has officiated in this season, Andy has given out sixteen yellow cards and no reds.

The men with the flags on Sunday will be

J Busby from Oxfordshire
PC Martin from Northamptonshire

The Fourth Official will be

MF Thompson from Middlesex
