'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Head-to-Head v Burton Albion

Rotherham United welcome Paul Peschisolido's Burton Albion to Don Valley for the first time on Saturday.

The Millers and the Brewers have never met in a league or cup game although they did play in a pre-season game at the start of last season, which ended 0-0 - the Vital Man of the Match being Chris O'Grady.

Burton played in the upper reaches of the Conference for a long time and in April 2009 found themselves top of the Conference National Table which saw them set a record for the most consecutive wins in a row.

Perhaps their most famous game took place in January 2006, when Burton took on the mighty Manchester United at the Pirelli Stadium and managed to get a 0-0. Back at Old Trafford for the replay, the Premiership side won the game 5-0 but 11,000 Burton fans made the trip which, according to records, constituted a record number of away fans seen at Old Trafford.

Burton were promoted to the league at the end of last season and are currently sixteenth in the table, although, after their 2-0 defeat at home to Accrington Stanley this week, their Canadian Manager said they were 'a shambles.'
