'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Darlington

D Whitestone from Northamptonsire

Dean began his refereeing career in the United Counties and Southern Leagues and in 2001 reached the National List of Referees. Midway through the 2005/6 season, Dean was promoted to the Referees' List. In 2006 he was in the middle for the Conference Play-Off Final.

Dean is no stranger to either the Millers or the Quakers, as he was the referee for our Football League Trophy last season at Don Valley. Stephen Foster put the visitors ahead on thirty-five minutes with Danny Harrison getting the equaliser in the second half to take the tie to penalties, which the Millers won 4-2. Ritchie Foran and Liam Hatch were booked that evening.

In the nineteen games Dean has been in charge of this season, he has shown forty-eight yellow and two red cards.

The men with the flags on Saturday will be . . .

AR Holmes and AN Smith both from West Yorkshire.

The Fourth Official will be . . .

M Dicicco from Cleveland
