RUFC - Ref Watch v Morecambe

RL Shoebridge from Derbyshire

Rob progressed through the Central Midlands and Northern Premier Leagues and reached the National List of Assistant Referees in 2003. His first league game as a full Referee was at the start of the 2006/7 season.

The first time he was in charge of a Millers match was in August 2007 at Millmoor. Rotherham beat Peterborough 3-1 with two goals from Derek Holmes and one from Chris O'Grady all before half-time. Aaron McLean got the consolation for the visitors.

He was also in the middle for our Cup win over Southampton last season, which also ended 3-1. Nick Fenton and Danny Harrison gave the Millers a 2-0 lead and Stern John pulled it back to 2-1 around the hour mark. But eight minutes later Drewe Broughton made it certain for the Millers. That day, Rob booked Broughton and Pablo Mills of the Millers and Michael Svensson from the Saints.

In the twenty-seven games he's been in charge of this season, Rob has given out sixty-four yellow and just one red card.
