'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Cheltenham

P TIERNY from Lancashire

This is Paul`s second season as a Football League Referee and he was in charge of the reverse fixture of Saturday`s game at Whaddon Road last season. The game ended one-one with Adam Le Fondre scoring for the Millers on the stroke of half-time and Julian Alsop getting the equaliser five minutes from full-time. That day yellow cards were shown to Josh Low of Cheltenham and Nicky Law of Rotherham.

Paul was at Don Valley last season as well for our FA Cup game with Luton Town. Tom Craddock put the visitors into the lead from the penalty spot on twenty minutes only for Le Fondre and Stephen Brogan to put the home side two-one up just after the hour mark. On seventy-four minutes, Mark Nwokeji got the equaliser for the Hatters to take the tie to a replay.

In the two games Paul has been in charge of this season he has given out two yellow cards.

The flag carriers on Saturday will be

J Hunt from County Durham
GT Stott from Manchester

The Fourth Official will be

AH Greenwood from North Yorkshire
