RUFC - Head-to-Head v Silkmen

RUFC - Head-to-Head v Silkmen
Rotherham United`s first travels of 2011 take us to Cheshire and Moss Rose where we take on Macclesfield Town.

Macclesfield haven`t ever won a league game against the Millers with there being four draws and seven Rotherham wins.

The last time the two sides met at Moss Rose was in August 2009 where the Millers came away with all three points. Adam Le Fondre put the visitors ahead on twenty-four minutes with Tom Pope adding number two thirteen minutes later. Just on half-time Matthew Tipton pulled one back for the Silkmen but a goal three minutes from full-time from Danny Harrison gave the Millers a well deserved three points.

The game earlier this season, at Don Valley, ended one all with both goals coming in sixty seconds of one another. Tyrone Barnett put Town ahead on eighty-four minutes but before the visiting supporters had time to celebrate Adam Le Fondre got the equaliser. The only booking that day was for the Millers` Nick Fenton.
