RUFC - Ref Watch v Southend

RUFC - Ref Watch v Southend
SW Mathieson from Cheshire

Scott's early years of refeering were spent in and around the Stockport and the Cheshire League. He has been on the National Referees' List since 1994 having spent the four years before that on the National List of Assistant Referees. In 2001 he officiated in the Football League Cup Final.

The last time Scott was in charge of the Millers` game was last season when it was Rotherhams last visit to Saltergate. The Millers came away with all three points beating Chesterfield one-nil with a Tom Pope goal in the final minute of the game. Three yellow cards were shown that night - Dan Gray of the home side and Pope and Gary Roberts of Rotherham.

Scott was also in charge of our game against Chesterfield at Millmoor in the 2005/6 season when the Spireites thumped us four-nil as well as our 4-1 loss to Sunderland the season before. In the 2006/7 season he came to Millmoor twice, once when we lost 4-2 to Norwich and then later in the season in our 4-2 loss against Cheltenham - hmmm, a pattern seems to be forming here!

This season Scott has been in charge of nineteen games showing fifty yellow cards and one red card.

Running the line on Saturday will be

B Khatib from Sunderland
RL Metcalfe from Lancashire

The Fourth Official will be

DP Plowright from Nottinghamshire
