'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Barnet

b>G Eltringham from Tyne and Wear

After leaving school Geoff decided he still wanted to be involved in football and thought refereeing was the best way to do that. He came through the ranks, being promoted to the National List of Referees last season.

Geoff has been in charge of one Millers game before, at Accrington earlier this season. The game ended in a Millers away win with goals from Adam Le Fondre, Exodus Geohaghon and Ryan Cresswell against those of Stanley's Andy Parkinson and Jimmy Ryan. In the game Kevin Long, of the home side, only lasted seventeen minutes before being sent off for pulling back Le Fondre and being last man he had to go.

So far this season, Geoff has been in charge of twenty-two games, showing sixty yellow and eleven red cards.

Running the line at Don Valley on Saturday will be

M Coy from Durham
S Smith from County Durham

The Fourth Official will be
R Atkin from Lincolnshire
