Grant began refereeing around his home in Hertfordshire at the age of fifteen and in 1992 was promoted to the National List of Assistant Referees. Nine years later he was promoted to the National List of Referees.
Grant was in the middle for our Carling Cup defeat at Peterborough early in the season. Marcus Marshall put the Millers in front on nine minutes but goals from Ryan Bennett, George Boyd, Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith gave the Posh a four-one win and a second round game against Cardiff.
In the twenty-four games Grant has been in charge of this season he has shown twenty-five yellow and two red cards
