RUFC - Head-to-Head v Torquay

RUFC - Head-to-Head v Torquay
Rotherham United's last game of the 2010/11 season is on Saturday against Torquay at Don Valley.

The sides have met twenty-three times before with the Millers winning the majority of those games - twelve in all. The game at Plainmoor, earlier this season was a re-arranged game and ended one-one with Eunan O'Kane putting the home side in the lead on seventeen minutes and Ryan Taylor getting the Millers a point on seventy-three minutes.

The game at Don Valley last season ended in a one-all draw on a cold Friday night in February. Danny Harrison got the Millers off to a good start when he gave them the lead on twenty minutes. But, being under the cosh for most of the second half, the Millers couldn't hold on and Elliot Benyon on for Lloyd Macklin, scored with five minutes to go. Referee Nigel Miller, who had booked Gary Roberts at the end of the first half, gave him a second yellow at the end of the second half and he was sent for an early bath.

The last time the Millers won a home game against Torquay was back in November 1999 at Millmoor. A Trevor Berry goal on twenty-four minutes was the only goal of the game in front of 3,892 fans, on a Tuesday night.
