'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Plymouth

Darren Sheldrake from Surrey

This is Darren`s fifth season on the National List of Referees, after he got into refereeing when his local club asked if he would take a course and be in the middle for their junior football games.

He has only been in the middle for one Millers game before this and that was last season in our re-arranged game with Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium. The game ended in defeat for the Millers after Cody McDonald had put the Gills in front on five minutes. Nicky Law equalised two minutes later but McDonald put the home side back into the lead on thirty-six minutes with Dennis Oli making sure a minute from full-time to make it 3-1. That day, yellow cards were shown to Weston and Akinfenwa of Gillingham and the Millers` Adam Le Fondre.

This season Darren has been in the middle for just one game, and that was the Carling Cup tie first round between Portsmouth and Barnet, where he gave out three yellow cards.

Running the line at Home Park on Saturday will be....

Simon Knapp from Bristol
and
Andrew Turner from Devon

The Fourth Official will be....

Adam Hopkins from Devon
