'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Barnet

David Coote from Nottinghamshire

David was promoted to the National List of Referees last season, having spent four years on the National List of Assistant Referees.

David is no stranger to the Millers having been in charge of three of their games last season. Firstly the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern First Leg at Don Valley for the Millers against Lincoln City, where an Adam Le Fondre goal was enough to put the Millers through to the next round.

Next, he was in the middle for our FA Cup replay at York where City beat the Millers three-nil.

In January David was in charge of our game at Edgeley Park against Stockport County. Ishmel Demontagnac put County in front on thirty-three minutes only for Kevin Ellison to equalise a minute later. Five minutes after half-time Stephen Husband put the home side in front again and eighteen minutes later scored a second to make it three-one. An own goal six minutes from time gave the Millers a lifeline and in the final minute Ryan Taylor got the Millers third to give them a point. Demontagnac for County and Jason Taylor, Marcus Marshall and Adam Le Fondre of the Millers were booked that night.

This season, David has been in charge of just one game which was the League One game between Scunthorpe and Oldham. The game ended two-one to Oldham and David showed nine yellow and one red card.

Running the line at Don Valley will be …

John Brooks from Leicestershire
and
Guy Stretton from Leicestershire

The Fourth Official will be …

David Benton from South Yorkshire
