RUFC - Head-to-Head v Shrimpers

Rotherham United and Southend United meet for the twenty-third time in the league on Saturday at Don Valley with the Shrimpers coming out best by winning nine of those encounters.

Last time out at Don Valley the visitors won the game two-one. The game was played on a cold Saturday afternoon and before fans and then Millers Manager, Ronnie Moore, were settled, Ryan Hall had put Southend in front. That was followed on thirteen minutes by a goal from Blair Sturrock. Nick Fenton managed to pull one back for the Millers just after the hour mark but couldn't manage to get a point from the game.

The last time the Millers won a home fixture against the Shrimpers was way back in January 1980, which, due to bad weather was the first game of the year. Just over four thousand fans saw Gerry Forrest get two goals at Millmoor to give the Millers a two-one win.
