RUFC - Head-to-Head v Port Vale

RUFC - Head-to-Head v Port Vale
This is the fifty-fifth league meeting between Port Vale and Rotherham United with the Millers just edging the wins with twenty-two. Vale have won two less and there have been twelve draws.

Last season at Vale Park saw a Jay O'Shea goal for Vale eight minutes into the second half win the game. The last time the Millers won at Vale Park was in November 2009 when Stephen Brogan put the visitors in the lead only for Luke Prosser to equalise five minutes later. In the final five minutes of the half there was a tussle between several players of both sides with Nick Fenton of the Millers and Vale's Prosser and Marc Richards saw yellow cards. In time added on Prosser tugged Adam Le Fondre back on the half-way line and saw a second yellow. The Millers made the extra man count and in the ninetieth minute Nicky Law got a deserved winner.
