'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Bristol Rovers

Andy Woolmer from Northampton

Andy has been on the National List of Referees since 2004 after coming through the UCL and Southern League to get there. He was an assistant for ten years, including three in the Premier League, and his major appointments include the FLT Final, FL Cup Final and the Community Shield.

The last time Andy was in charge of a Millers game was the final match of last season against Torquay at Don Valley. Ryan Taylor put the Millers in front on ten minutes only for Chris Zebroski to equalise just after the half-hour mark. Two minutes later Danny Harrison re-gained the lead for the Millers and Ollie Banks came off the subs bench to score his first professional goal. That day Andy showed yellow cards to Ryan Cresswell of Rotherham and Torquay's Joe Ostler.

Andy was in the middle for our game at Spotland in March 2008. Marc Joseph put the Millers in the lead on seven minutes. Gary Jones equalised for Rochdale on thirty minutes and three goals from Chris Dagnall in the final ten minutes gave the home side all three points. Peter Holmes and Danny Harrison were booked that day along with the Dale's Lee Thorpe.
