'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Macclesfield

PHILIP GIBBS from the West Midlands

After twelve years of being working the non-league circuit and being and carrying a flat, Assistant Head Teacher, Phil stepped up to be a League referee in July 2008.

This will be Phil`s third visit to Don Valley, the first was in September 2008 when a bizarre goal from Alex Rhodes was enough to give the Millers all three points. Just after the hour mark, of what had been an uneventful game, Rhodes seem to over hit a cross from the left hand touchline and with both defenders looking on disbelievingly it sailed over them and Hatters` 'keeper, Dean Brill, into the net.

Subs not used - Cann, Burchill, Garcia

This season, Phil has officiated in thirty-four games, showing a staggering one hundred and six yellow cards and four red cards.

Running the line at Don Valley this evening will be

Christopher Kavanagh from Lancashire
and
David McCallum from Tyne and Wear (I always want to put from Man from Uncle!)

The Fourth Official will be

Ian Dudley from Nottinghamshire
